We don’t know how he does it, but Michael Strahan a.k.a. the man with a million jobs and then some, has added yet another title to his post-football career roster.
That’s right. The newly appointed co-host of Good Morning America will take to the helm of $100,000 Pyramid. Dick Clark originally hosted the game show.
Luckily, the former EBONY cover star has previously stepped in the shoes of TV legends. Before going full-time with Good Morning America, Strahan shared the spotlight with Kelly Ripa as co-host of Live! with Kelly & Michael. The show was made popular by original hosts Regis Philbin and Kathie Lee.
As one-third of TV Guide’s June 27, triple issue feature, Michael Strahan talked about his latest endeavor stating, “Thank goodness I didn’t kill the show that Regis built.”
But Strahan isn’t the only fella holding down the game show hustle. Steve Harvey, who’s no stranger to juggling multiple gigs, also is on the TV Guide cover. He talks about how he approaches Celebrity Family Feud vs. the traditional Family Feud.
“You’ve got to be careful because you’re dealing with some pretty big egos when talking to celebrities. Celebrities really have a problem coming across as normal people, especially when they get something wrong,” he told TV Guide. “A lot of the questions on Family Feud are such regular-person questions, and a lot of celebrities are so out of touch.
It’s cool to see Steve and Michael thriving in Hollywood. Alec Baldwin covers the third installment of the triple covers.
The June issue hits stands on June 23.
