Prince Michael Jackson – son of the late, great Michael Jackson – has landed his first entertainment gig as an on-air guest correspondent for Entertainment Tonight. Prince is the oldest of Michael’s three children at 16 years old, and has expressed interest in following in his legendary father’s footsteps – but no so much musically.

“I’m looking to become well-rounded as a producer, director, screenwriter and actor,” he told ET

His first assignment is an interview with the director and stars of upcoming Disney film Oz: The Great and Powerful and will air throughout the week. According to the Los Angeles Times, it’s not a permanent job for the teen just yet but he will return on a “case-by-case” basis.

Prince’s sister Paris got her taste of being in front of the camera last year, after making appearances on Oprah’s Next Chapter and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She’s also starring in upcoming movie Lundon’s Bridge and the Three Keys.

For children who were shielded away from the spotlight so much while their father was alive (literally shielded with masks and everything), it makes us wonder if Michael would ever approve of this. Regardless, we’re sure talent is in their genes and they’d be in the spotlight some day anyway.
