Saturday Night Live just got a little more diverse.
According to The New York Times, comedian Michael Che will co-anchor the sketch comedy show’s popular segment “Weekend Update” with Colin Jost starting September 27.
Che will replace Cecily Strong, who will still be featured on the show as a regular cast member.
Previously, Che was a correspondent on The Daily Show, but he has been writing for SNL since last year.
