Congratulations to Lupita Nyong’o!
The award-winning actress is officially the new brand ambassador for Lancome. The cosmetic company made the announcement on Friday via Twitter:

Nyong’o, who is the brand’s first Black ambassador, is expected to start appearing in ads this September. In a statement, the Mexican-born Kenyan star of 12 Years a Slave said: “Beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”
