Love and Hip Hop LA? Our Cast Picks

The Love and Hip Hop series has already dominated the streets of New York and Atlanta. Up next is Los Angeles.

“We’ve been looking in a few cities. It’s feeling like we’ll land in L.A. L.A. feels like the next city. Again it’s about struggling artists trying to make it and that’s what’s great about the franchise, but it’s feeling like we’ve got some great stories to tell in L.A.,” said creator Mona Scott Young in an interview with Atlanta’s 107.9 radio station.

We’re excited to find out what kind of West coast drama she will dig up. We even have a few suggestions. Here’s a list of who we think would make good cast members for the upcoming show aka Love and Hip Hop LA. Let us know what you think, Mona!

TOO SHORT

Love and Hip Hop is known for putting artists we haven’t seen lately back in the spotlight. Earlier this year, The “Blow the Whistle” rapper had a run in with the law for drug possession and appeared on season 2 of VH1’s “Couple’s Therapy.” How’s married life for him now?

MACK 10

TLC has been in full effect over the past few months with the release of their 20th anniversary album and biopic. We didn’t hear much from T-Boz’s former boo in the movie, but we know you all caught a glimpse of Mack 10’s character. We wonder what the controversial Californian is up to now and what he thought of the film.

TYGA

This Young Money MC shouts out his hometown every chance he gets. With hit records, like “Rack City” and “Make it Nasty” under his belt, he’s certainly on the rise. Now that he’s a father, how is he managing parenthood with Blac Chyna and a rap career?

CASEY VEGGIES

The 22-year-old has received some buzz for his music, but we’re still waiting on that debut album. He’s been putting out mixtapes since 2007, so we’re anxious to hear what he’s been cooking up in the studio.

YO YO

The blonde bombshell and former Ice Cube protege made a name for herself both as an artist and on-air personality.  It would be great to see what she is up to and how she relates to the current crop of fem-cees.

YOUR TURN! Tell us who you’d like to see on the L.A. arm of the show.  Or would you rather spare your favorite MC some of the reality show indignities? Would Odd Future fit in?
