‘Phone Down’ gives a bouncy tune as Lady Badu flexes her powers and ability to make any one she’s with lose their addiction to technology and stay focused on her presence – not in an arrogant way but one that embraces human connection.
This marks Erykah’s second new music tease, the first being a remix to Drake’s Hotline Bling. Both singles will appear on FatBellyBella’s upcoming mixtape, ‘But You Caint Use My Phone’ slated for a Thanksgiving weekend iTunes release.
