Big Sean is getting personal and reflective on his latest single releases. The Detroit rapper is taking an introspective approach as he gears up for the Feb. 24 release of Dark Sky Paradise.
Following the drop of “Blessings” featuring G.O.O.D Music general Kanye West and OVO’s captain Drake, Big Sean gets another assist from the subtle tone songbird Jhené Aiko for “Win Some, Lose Some” which outlines thoughts of his failed relationship with actress Naya Rivera and not having enough time for himself. His father makes a voice cameo on the track with words of encouragement sans the BS.
His third release,”One man Can Change the World” features a soulful John Legend and grabs Kanye for another collaboration. Alternating vocal leads on the chorus, Big Sean ditches the bravado and talks strength, inspiration and discusses the loss of his grandmother, whom he features in a phone recording at the end of the song.
