Hopefully, this doesn’t bring darkening days upon new mother, Lil’ Kim, but her ex-boyfriend, Damion Hardy a.k.a. World, is currently on trial for a string of violent crimes.
The trial comes a decade after his initial indictment.
Hardy faces six murder charges and is accused of ordering hits from the 1998 assassination of a skating rink bouncer to the 2003 killing of a former Mike Tyson bodyguard, reports the New York Daily News.
Hardy is also known for allegedly founding the Cash Money Brothers, a vicious street gang who reigned over a housing complex in Bed-Stuy.
Adding to the case is the fact that Hardy was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic in 2004. The diagnosis followed an arrest in connection to the Cash Money Brothers, a key reason for the delayed trial.
Hardy’s lawyer, David Ruhnke argued in court that the entire case is based on the words of cooperating witnesses and criminals who cannot be trusted.
While it looks like Lil’ Kim is not involved in the case, Hardy did reach out to her and fellow Brooklyn rapper, Foxy Brown for money prior to the trial’s start date.
