Love and Hip Hop New York has gotten a revival thanks to some new casting. The grimy reality show has just recruited Remy Ma and Papoose for season six.
Yes, you read correctly.
The Bronx native and her Brooklyn-bred hubby will be bringing the spice back. The show has been able to keep folks’ attention for the past few runs, but it’s been a while since some seasoned hip-hop heads – that fans actually want to catch up with – have stepped on the scene.
Confirming the news on Instagram, the “Conceited” rapper captioned a photo of her and her beau with “We the real love & hip hop!!!”
We couldn’t agree more. The rhyming duo have been together for quite some time. In fact, they married in 2008 while Remy was serving her six-year prison term for assault convictions that followed a club shooting in 2007. Papoose was right by her side when she was released last year.
It’ll be interesting to watch the couple interact with the rest of the cast, and we’re ecstatic that the two are giving people a little access into their world.
