One of our favorites is returning to the small screen this fall. Later this month, Morris Chestnut resumes his duties as Dr. Beaumont Rosewood Jr., a private pathologist in Miami, who has an uncanny knack for solving crimes. As season two approaches, Dr. Rosewood will certainly catch more killers, but he might just be catching feelings too.
Former Destiny’s Child member LeToya Luckett will be joining the cast of the police procedural as Tawnya, a potential love interest for Dr. Rosewood who’s in the middle of one of the toughest cases the East Miami Police has ever seen.
Since making the transition to acting Luckett, the platinum-selling artist has shown her range in several roles, including appearances on Single Ladies, Ballers, and the upcoming feature film Until We Meet Again.
Also joining the cast in season two is Camille Spirlin, who will play Tawanya’s daughter, who’s suspicious of Dr. Rosewood’s intentions with her mom until she gets to know him.
In addition to Chestnut, Rosewood also stars Lorraine Toussaint, Gabrielle Dennis, Anna Konkl, Domenick Lombardozzi and Eddie Cibrian.
Rosewood returns to TV on Thursday, September 22 at 8pm.
