Looks like comedian Katt Williams is once again making headlines— for all the wrong reasons. Williams’ assistant, Melissa Ishage, claims that he beat her up and she is filing a $5 million lawsuit against her former employer.
Reasons for the altercation are not clear, but in her lawsuit filed in L.A., Ishage claims that Williams got violent and punched her at his home on October 6, which caused her “serious and permanent injuries.”
Ishage’s attorney told TMZ, his client was struck in the head and knocked to the ground by Williams. According to sources, she was treated at a local hospital, and police were called to the scene, but no arrests were made.
At press time, Williams has not publicly acknowledged the lawsuit.
