The Black Magic Mike? Michael McCoy (Robert Ri’chard) is a struggling college student whose funds just aren’t cutting it for his future plans. With a mother, (Vivica A. Fox) who is struggling to make money as well, McCoy ventures to a strip club where the owner (Deray Davis) convinced him to participate in amateur night. You’re in for a laugh. Now available on Netflix is D.L Hughley: Clear. In this 2014 standup special filmed in San Francisco, comedic genius D.L. Hughley entertains with his hilarious take on current affairs and more. Darrly Lynn “D.L.” is an American actor, commentator and comedian. Hughley is best known as the original host for BET’s ComicView back in the 90s. You can find the comedy special located under the comedy section on Netflix.

Charles Bradley: Soul of America

Based off of American funk/soul/R&B singer Charles Bradley, Charles Bradley: Soul of America follows the singer’s journey leading up to the release of his debut album “No Time for Dreaming.” The documentary feature premiered at South By Southwest in Austin and went on to play at top film festivals. Charles never gave up on his life long dream to be a professional singer and makes for an interesting documentary. You can check it out on Netflix.
