If you thought Jay-Z was missing in action on issues such as Eric Garner and the Grand Jury decision not to indict the officer who held him in a lethal chokehold, think again.
The business and hip-hop mogul (like the “g” in lasagna) moves in silence. On Wednesday, December 10, Jay met with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to discuss criminal-justice reform.
Melissa DeRousa, Cuomo’s spokesperson said in a statement, that the Governor and Jay-Z had a “productive conversation about doing a top-to-bottom review of the criminal justice system, and how we can all work together to pass a reform package that ensures equality in the eyes of the law.”

While many criticize or question the presence of artists and celebrities and their being vocal about political issues and those with a racial undertone, this goes to show that just because there isn’t a big production following every move, does not mean work isn’t being done.
Not all celebrities gain fuel from publicizing their charitable efforts and activism.
Just saying.
