ICYMI: Remy Ma Halts Nicki Minaj’s Seven-Year Win Streak and Full List of BET Awards Winners

The 17th annual BET Awards hosted by Saturday Night Live‘s Leslie Jones aired yesterday, and the show had some standout moments.
Beyoncé snagged five awards, including Best Female R&B/Pop Artist; legendary ’90s R&B groups Xscape and New Edition took to the stage to prove they still have it; and Remy Ma ended Nicki Minaj’s seven-year winning streak as the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist. (Could this be the reason why Minaj didn’t attend the show?)
In her acceptance speech, the rapper thanked both her husband, Papoose, and her mentor, Fat Joe. She also said, “I wanna thank God first and foremost. You can make mistakes and come back.”
