Since his departure from the hit show Scandal in 2013, Columbus Short has received his share of adverse headlines. From law run-ins over substance abuse to alleged physical love quarrels with his ex-girlfriend and toxic relationship and marriage to Karrine Steffans, Short has seen days of destruction.
On his road to overcoming personal struggles, the actor partnered with Elizabeth House, a women’s shelter in Los Angeles to deliver more than 300 presents to four homes belonging to victims of domestic abuse. In addition to his work with the shelter, TMZ reports that Short also used $2,000 of his own money to further help out. The giving didn’t stop there and “Operation Santa” was in full bloom as he also hosted a Toy Drive which included performances from Timothy Bloom and V Bozeman.
Short shared the good deed along with some holiday cheer on his Instagram page.
