‘Ghostbusters’ Ernie Hudson Lands New Gig

Most recognized for his character in the supernatural comedy, Ghostbusters, Ernie Hudson is trading in his busting machine and turning into a grumpy, but lovable sergeant in a new Fox pilot.

The actor is set to co-star opposite Justin Kirk and Natalie Martinez in APB. The drama pilot explores what happens when an enigmatic tech billionaire purchases a troubled police precinct in the wake of a loved one’s murder, reports Deadline.

Hudson will portray a veteran cop working in the 13th Precinct. He’s gruff and not a fan of the new happenings taking place in the precinct, namely the new owner.

Though he’s stepping into the drama, Hudson isn’t leaving his ghost busting buddies far behind. You can catch the actor in the upcoming Ghostbusters remake starring an all-female cast. He’ll also be part of Epix’s first original series, Graves.
