Fans worldwide are showing an outpouring of emotions over the death of singer George Michael, whose death at age 53 of heart failure was announced Sunday.
Michael, who started out as one half of the pop duo WHAM! along with Andrew Ridgely during the early 80s had sold more than 100 million records over the course of his career. During his solo years, he had multi-platinum hits including “Careless Whisper,” “Faith,” “I Want Your Sex,” “Father Figure,” “Kissing a Fool,” “Fastlove,” and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” which he recorded with Elton John.
Upon hearing of his death — particularly on Christmas Day, the social media world reacted with sadness.
