Wu-Tang Clan members RZA and Raekwon may be linked to a 1999 murder that took place in Staten Island.
According to a Brooklyn federal court filing, the FBI investigated the rappers’ connection to two Staten Island drug lords who robbed their relatives.
Former drug kings Harvey and Anthony Christian were convicted in 2014 of running a 20-year drug empire and the ordered murder of Jerome “Boo Boo” Estella.
An informant alleged that Raekwon and RZA possibly took part in Estella’s death, along with that of another drug dealer for robbing RZA’s younger brother.
Raekwon’s name surfaced in reference to a conversation the police informant had regarding the death of drug dealer Corey “Shank” Brooker.
Brooker’s murder remains unsolved.
Harvey and Anthony’s attorney are requesting that the prosecutors hand over all details surrounding Estella’s death.
The Christian brothers are currently awaiting sentencing.
