Fantasia slayed during the 2015 Soul Train Awards while performing ‘Superwoman’ as part of the Babyface tribute.
The performance, however, did manage to cause a little controversy as the song’s original vocalist, Karyn White was nowhere in sight. Her questionable absence led to this video address from the singer.
Despite the slight issue, Fantasia is keeping things on an up note and recently became part of the Primary Wave Management roster, which includes talents such as Cee-lo Green, Eric Benét and Gabrielle Union. In addition, she is currently prepping for her fifth studio album, slated for a 2016 release.
The Grammy award-winning songstress will also appear on the final season of American Idol, the show that introduced her powerhouse vocals to the world in 2004.
But before 2016 kicks off, Fanny will join Sting and Christina Aguilera as they pay tribute to Frank Sinatra during the Sinatra: Voice for a Century concert gala on Dec. 3.
