The second season of Empire is drawing near and as the clip teases and trailers continue to roll out, a fresh face has been recently added to the mix.
Philadelphia emcee, Bre-Z joins the cast as Freda Barz, a witty and hard-headed lyricist who takes crap from no one, but falls silent in the presence of her gangster father.
Known as “The Queen o’ 16s,” Barz hails from Brownsville, Brooklyn and is “moody, outspoken and [has] done some dirt but rhyming is her way out,” Fox publicity describes the character.
Freda Barz makes her debut on Oct. 7 and it’s going to be fun watching the cast chemistry and lyrical ability when it comes to shaping and dropping new music!
As for Bre-Z, who began rapping at age 14, the budding star is still settling into her whirlwind acting career and will also be a part of the season two Empire soundtrack.
