Dreamville’s Omen Drops Album Release Date

It’s been a long time coming for Dreamville’s Omen. After a slew of setbacks and a couple of mixtapes, the rapper finally has a release date for his debut album Elephant Eyes.

Audiences may recognize Omen from several J. Cole classics like The Badness and Enchanted. Now the emcee is ready to drop a masterpiece of his own.

The project will be available July 21, and his label announced the news with a hysterical parody of Love and Hip Hop that poked fun at the length of time it’s taken to complete the 11-track compilation.

In the 6-minute video, the Chicago native battles with members of his Dreamville family. He can’t seem to get anyone, including J. Cole, to take his project seriously.

The news of the official release date is right on time, too. After hosting a round of listening parties and completing two thirds of the Forest Hills Drive tour, Omen hopped back on stage this week with his labelmates Bas and Cozz to finish off the final leg of shows.

Catch the lyricist when he stops in your town, and cop his record when it hit shelves later this month…“MAYBE!”
