DEMOS Documentary Debuts Tuesday

Success doesn’t come overnight, especially in the music industry. Thanks to a new hip-hop documentary called “DEMOS: An Independent Artist’s Guide To Success” up-and-coming musicians can learn a thing or two from the pros about breaking into the business and furthering their career.

The 90-minute “how-to” film, directed by Kareem Fort, features interviews from established artists such as Talib Kweli and Naughty By Nature, rookies like Nitty Scott MC and Hopsin and some well known producers, who share their experiences and give advice on what it takes to become a successful hip-hop artist.

Due to recent buzz surrounding the film, the director will be hosting a special online screening Tuesday at 7 p.m. ET on the following websites: DailyMotion.com, 2DopeBoyz.com, DeadEndHipHop.com, DJBooth.net, DubCNN.com, KevinNottingham.com, OkayPlayer.com, and TheUrbanDaily.com

Be sure to stay tuned once the credits roll because afterwards, the film’s director Kareem Fortnarrator Skyzoo and other featured artists will be hosting a video chat to discuss the documentary with fans.

Also, if you live in Chicago and can’t tune in to the online screening tonight, you’ll still have an opportunity to catch the film when it comes to a theatre in the city this weekend. The documentary will run from this Friday, September 13 until next Thursday, September 19 at the Chatham 14 Theaters on 87th and Dan Ryan.
