When Dave Chappelle stepped on the stage as the host of Common’s AAHH! Fest, last summer, the crowd went bananas – and that was before one word escaped his mouth!
Whether it’s a few minutes or a full length routine, his presence is welcomed on any occasion and the cracks of realism and satire are applauded.
As Comedy Hype tells it, fans may be receiving that full-length stand-up soon though. According to the site, Dave spent Easter weekend taping his comedy gigs – sans the banana peel drama – for a new special, said to be in partnership with HBO.
If this scoop is true, it would mark Chappelle’s third stand-up special following 2000’s Dave Chappelle: Killin’ Them Softly and 2005’s Dave Chappelle: For What It’s Worth.
I’m here for it – the Chappelle Show still gets major play on my TV!
