Cuba Gooding Jr. and his wife, Sara Kapfer, are calling it quits.
According to TMZ, Kapfer filed for divorce in a Los Angeles County Superior Court after 20 years of marriage. Citing irreconcilable differences, the news comes only a year after the actor gushed about his celebrating his 20th anniversary with his wife on The View:
“She has been changing to this other woman that I have to introduce myself to every few years,” Gooding said. “And thank god I’ve fallen in love with each one. It’s true. I’m lucky that way.”
The two were high school sweethearts and got married in 1994. Gooding and Kapfer are the parents to three kids. Court documents state Kapfer filed for joint legal and physical custody of the children. Child support will be determined at a later date.
