Netflix stays winning.
The streaming company announced that funnyman Chris Tucker will be premiering his stand-up comedy show exclusively on all Netflix territories.
Chris Tucker Live was filmed at the historic Fox Theatre in Atlanta, Chris’ coming-of-age stomping grounds. The special takes viewers on a journey through the actor/comedian’s experiences from childhood. Of course, the high-pitched storyteller will tickle the audience’s fancy with clever impersonations and career stories.
In a press release sent to JET, Chris stated:
“I’m thrilled to be partnering with Netflix, one of the true global leaders in entertainment, on my first comedy special. Before people start seeing me in movies, I was doing stand-up. It’s always been a part of me, and now I’m excited to share it with my fans around the world.”
The stand-up special marks Chris’ first full-length production he’s starred in and produced under the Chris Tucker Entertainment banner. Phil Joanou is on board as the director.
Chris Tucker Live premieres Friday, July 10.
And you know this, Maaan!
