The Huffington Post ran damage control this morning after handing over the reins of their Twitter account to funny girl Chelsea Handler during last night’s Oscars.
Handler took control of the AOL-owned news outlet’s page, live tweeting throughout the ceremony. However, the night turned sour when Handler sent out a set of tweets concerning Best Supporting Actress winner Luptia Nyong’o, Best Picture winner 12 Years A Slave as well as a jab to Sidney Poitier.

On the receiving end of plenty of backlash, Handler ended the night with a brief, “I’m sorry.” In an interview with theGrio, Perri Dorset, Huffington Post Senior Executive Director for Communications seemed more remorseful, stating Handler’s opinions are her own and not of the Huffington Post. But are you buying it?
