After having an appearance on the big screen in the recently released Sparkle remake, Cee-Lo Green is ready to make his TV acting debut. According to The Hollywood Reporter, NBC is developing a scripted family comedy loosely based on Green’s own career and home life (a la The Bernie Mac Show or Everybody Hates Chris). In fact, Everybody Hates Chris’ Ali Leroi will write and executive produce the project.

Green recently signed a first-look deal with NBC to produce and develop new projects for the network under his production company, Emerald Productions. Though the entertainer is no stranger to television, with coaching and judging duties on NBC’s The Voice, the sitcom arena will be a whole new territory for him.  Would you tune in?
