A theory often discussed through in-depth think pieces and subtlety laced pop music such as Beyoncé’s “Flawless,” is now reaching a younger generation in a creative way.
Freelance Illustrator Ellen T. Crenshaw is applying her artistic talents to further bring awareness to the feminist movement.
As part of the The Nibs’ “We Are Entitled to Wear Cowboy Boots To Our Own Revolution” series, Crenshaw caricaturized 10 women in American history who spoke on gender equality and are representative of the feminism movement.
Accompanied by prominent quotes, the women included in the series range from Coretta Scott King and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichi to Beyoncé and Malala Yousafzai.
