Birthday twins (February 11), vocal beasts and besties Brandy and Kelly Rowland are adding another similarity to their friendship…TV shows!
In an ongoing relationship with BET and with the wrapping of The Game, Brandy is heading back to the spotlight with romantic comedy, “Zoë Moon.” As the lead, the series centers on Zoë, a newly divorced mom traversing singledom and a budding career as a cosmetics mogul. Along the way, Zoë’s ex-beau struggles with taking the back seat to her new freedom and her 10-year-old son is not too fond of Mama pursuing a dating life.
It can’t go without saying that Brandy is doing the damn thing! She’s currently in rehearsals for her debut Broadway performance as “Roxie Hart” in Chicago.
BET also snagged new mom Kelly Rowland for Chasing Destiny, a singing competition series. Following similar platforms, the show will be on the hunt for next level talent. The catch, you must reach Kelly Rowland’s standards. And coming from a multi-platinum selling group and being a successful soloist, the contest is not going to be a walk in the park. Fun, but trust talent will have their work cut out for them.
This is a good look for both ladies and BET won’t hurt in ratings because really, who could complain about seeing these talented beauties on their screen throughout the week?
