Oh, you thought the Beyoncé takeover was done? Not quite. Queen Bey’s next venture includes a partnership with retailer H&M, in which she will be featured in their summer advertising campaign. According to USA Today:
The ads introduce “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M,” “the idea that women can be all things: strong, vulnerable, sensual, maternal, fun and flirtatious,” according to a release from H&M. Look for the clothes starting the beginning of May.
The campaign was shot in Nassau in the Bahamas and will also include a commercial featuring a new song from Bey called “Standing On the Sun” – which will also be released in May.
“I’ve always liked H&M’s focus on fun and affordable fashion. I really loved the concept we collaborated on to explore the different emotions of women represented by the four elements – fire, water, earth and wind,” Beyoncé said in a press release. “It was a beautiful shoot on a tropical island. It felt more like making a video than a commercial.”
What are we thinking about this new partnership?
