BET Partners with Black&Sexy TV

Some of your favorite web series are headed to the small screen. BET has collaborated with Black & Sexy TV to air three of its digital programs on cable.

Black&Sexy TV, an online program that targets African-American audiences, was created by partners Dennis Dortch and Numa Perrier in 2011. Uploading episodes on YouTube and offering a $7-a-month subscription that grants access to all original content, the company has garnered a huge number of supporters.

“We noticed Black&Sexy TV has a dedicated fanbase, and their fans’ obsession for this content mirrors the obsession our audience has for BET and our content,” said Pete Danielsen, BET’s exec VP of program planning, scheduling and acquisitions.

BET will begin with RoomieLoverFriends, a show about two roommates who complicate their once-platonic relationship when they end up in bed together. It will premiere Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 11 p.m. est.

Next, the network will debut Sexless, which focuses on female friends attempting to find real relationships without having sex, and Hello Cupid, a series about a dark-skinned woman who changes her online dating profile picture to that of her lighter-skinned bestie.

Air dates for the latter two shows have yet to be announced. Stay tuned.
