When Ava DuVernay makes an announcement, we’re all here for it.
And today, the EBONY Power 100 cover star released the date for her next directorial project, the children’s classic A Wrinkle in Time. But this wasn’t the traditional “Hey guys, [insert project title], comes out [insert date].” No, DuVernay and her talented team took the creative route and did it #MannequinChallenge style.

The film, which stars emerging actress Storm Reid, Oprah Winfrey, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Reese Witherspoon and Chris Pine, centers on a young girl who is traumatized after the disappearance of her scientist father, years before. On her journey to find her father, her younger brother and a schoolmate are aided by a trio of supernatural beings.
A Wrinkle in Time hits theaters on April 6, 2017.
