Akon has been on a mission that feeds both his philanthropic ambitions as well as his musical seed.
The singer/producer launched his non-profit mission to supply electricity to select homes in 25 countries in Africa through his Akon Lighting Africa Foundation, earlier this year.
And on July 19, Akon will bring the first-ever Passport Festival Experience to Atlanta! The festive day-long event kicks off at Centennial Olympic Park and features a mixture of international and national artists.
With Atlanta already being a mecca for music and entertainment, concertgoers will gain a high energy experience while partying with a purpose. Proceeds from ticket purchases will benefit the Akon Lighting Africa Foundation.
