Gladiators, rejoice! ABC has renewed Scandal for a fourth season.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network renewed the fast-paced drama after it topped ratings. Scandal averaged nearly 13 million views per week from live views as well as DVR views during its third season. The report further states the show’s syndication deal with BET helped boost excitement, which in turned boosted ratings for the third season.
Shonda Rhimes, the show’s creator, recently debunked rumors surrounding a search for Columbus Short’s replacement for character Harrison Wright. Short announced his departure from the show earlier this month.
