Earlier this week, NeNe Leakes announced that she would not be returning to Bravo’s hit series Real Housewives of Atlanta.
For almost eight years, the reality star has entertained us with her vivacious personality and her ability to read any of her counterparts at the drop of a dime. Now, the 48-year-old, who has also made appearances on shows including Glee and The New Normal, is moving on to pursue other projects.
She shared the news of her departure in a Facebook post. “This is so hard for me to type! I cry as I do so! After seven seasons, I am so grateful for all the love and laughs! I can confirm that I have decided not to return to RHOA…,” she wrote.
While the diva will certainly be missed and we in no way think she can be truly replaced, we’ve rounded up a list of women we believe would make great additions to the RHOA cast in her absence. The beauty married Atlanta-based rapper Ludacris earlier this year, and now she’s carrying their first child together. A former medical student at the University of Miami, the 27-year-old now runs Unspoken Angels, an organization dedicated to supporting and educating female victims of mental, verbal and physical abuse. With her brains and beauty, we think she’s a good match, and we’d be curious to see how she’d interact with the rowdy bunch.
