D.Woods, Love & Hip Hop Shocker & Gossip Table

D. Woods – Stage Baby! JetMag.com EXCLUSIVE!

The DivaGals caught up with Danity Kane alum D. Woods to learn about her newest venture, the new stage play A Mother’s Love! “It’s all about a young lady caught between her desires and her definitely, very opinionated mother,” D. shared. Produced by The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Kandi Burruss, who based the show on her real life, D. plays a member of Kandi’s girl group. D. revealed to us that her real life mom has been very supportive of her singing, dancing and acting career. “She respects the fact that I’ve gone hard,” said D. To that end, D. is in the process of producing My Favorite Color, a three-part EP triology. Volume 1 is D.’s RED side. “I’m moving all the time, and I’m just really letting my fans, get to know me all over again,” she explained. The first single “Gold Mine” is available on Itunes. D also revealed to us that the next two volumes will be BLUE, to showcase her “vulnerable and more emotional side,” and YELLOW, which will allow her to be zany and left of center. Of course we had to ask about D.’s love life! D. confessed she’s not really looking for love at the moment. “Romance, it comes and goes. There’s always story a tell and at least I’ll get a good song out of it,” she teased. A Mother’s Love runs Nov. 22 – 24 in Atlanta. Visit rialtocenter.org for tickets.

Love & Hip Hop Premiere Party Shocker – Pete A No Show!

The DivaGals had a front seat at the season 4 premiere of Love and Hip Hop, and we had to hold on for the ride. The ongoing love triangle between rapper Peter Gunz, his longtime girlfriend and baby mama actress Tara Wallace and his artist Amina Buddafly, who flaunted her new tattoo Mrs. Pankey–Pete’s real last name–in series’ season 4 premiere, came to life right before our eyes! But here’s the real shocker: Pete was a no-show at the VIP screening in NYC! “He wasn’t there, and his ‘wife’ and lover had to battle it out themselves during the Q&A,” a source dished to us. Tara looked stunning, and she called Amina out when the brazen singer said she had never met Tara before that night. Luckily, executive producer Mona Scott Young kept the peace, and the ladies stayed on good behavior. Catch Love and Hip Hop Monday nights on VH1.
