I CANNOT with these people.

Someone please tell me why the sinewy yoga addict known as Madonna took it upon herself to call her son “disnigga” on Instagram?

And please don’t tell me it’s because she heard Trinidad James saying it and thought it was a way to relate to the youth.

This superstar has traveled the world, picked up a faux British accent, adopted a child from Malawi and hell, she brought us Black Jesus with “Like a Prayer.”

Surely, Madge knows a lot better than to use that controversial term and then try to cover it up by calling anyone who was offended “haters.”

Maybe that hater ish worked for Diddy in the mid-90s, but he was applying it to defend bad and overly materialistic rapping.

I’ve not found an instance where it serves as a shield against bigoted behavior.

And this weak apology they coaxed out of her?  Please keep it.

The bottom line is: Much like they know blackface is dead wrong, any White person using the n-word knows good and damn well that isn’t universally smiled upon.

If you do it, it’s because you are essentially deciding that — heck, if Black folks use it, I can too and to hell with anyone who gets mad.

That attitude in and of itself is steeped, soaked and swaddled in white privilege.

So Madonna, sit your Lady Gaga-hating, naked-butt book publishing, Guy Ritchie-divorcing, horrible movie-producing, behind all the way down.

You had absolutely no business doing what you did and it’s a shame it took you more than 15 minutes to apologize.

My favorite line in your sorry statement is when you said:

“It was used as a term of endearment toward my son who is white,” she wrote. “I appreciate that it’s a provocative word and I apologize if it gave people the wrong impression. Forgive me.”

Not hardly, but it’s really not the public she needs to apologize to.  I’d like to know how she will explain her actions to her daughter, who is Black?
