Nudes, more nudes, and the right nudes.
It’s safe to say that we’re obsessed with nudes right now. Everyone is drifting away from bold makeup looks to more natural products and a go-to nude is an essential part of our makeup bag. As with all makeup choices, this leaves us choosing between pricey and affordable. Our two faves at the moment are M.A.C.’s lipsticks as the splurge and Maybelline’s Inti matte Nudes being a comparable dupe. M.A.C. Cosmetic’s nude lipstick range is one of the most diverse and comfortable to wear on the beauty market. The formula is matte, but not drying. The application is smooth and creamy, but the nude range of lipsticks can be quite similar in pigment. Our favorites of M.A.C.’s nudes are Siss, Blankety, Jubilee, Honeylove, Cream in Your Coffee, Persistence, and Viva Glam II. The tubes are $17 from maccosmetics.com.

On the other hand, Maybelline Inti-matte Nudes have done an excellent job of expanding the line to include more tones that work for deeper skin tones. The formula is also incredibly creamy. They dry quickly, but the pigment does move off of your lips easily. If you have a dinner date planned or a night out with your friends, then you’ll want to make sure that you can regularly touch up your lips. The color payoff is considerable but comparable to the M.A.C. nudes for only $7.99 from maybelline.com.
