Every year, Coachella inspires a few seemingly new makeup looks and hair trends that are a bit offensive and somehow carry on after the festival is over. This year, it’s the fake lip ring trend that we’ve seen in several festival makeup looks. The look has origins from indigenous people who used it to signify pure speech, but the look has been modernized for the festival. The base lipstick used for the look is a matte lipstick and the line drawn down the center of the lips is a liquid liner. The look, from afar, looks like a lip ring and has been seen all over Instagram and Youtube. Would you rock it?
