Everything we needed.
The natural scalp revival treatment from Briogeo is selling out on Sephora.com and QVC. With braids trending and natural hair care all over Instagram, it is more important than ever that we find products that will calm our scalp and provide healthy hair growth. After the spill with Shea Moisture, there is a need for being aware of new products that we can include in our hair care regimen.
Nancy Twine, the youngest black woman to launch a brand at Sephora, wants us to have organic products for our hair. The brand’s most popular line is the Scalp Revival products. The products are made with Binchotan charcoal, a Japanese charcoal that absorbs impurities and removes oil buildup from your scalp. There are three products in the line including a dry shampoo, an exfoliating shampoo, and a pre-shampoo scalp treatment.
The brand also uses a formula of peppermint and spearmint oils to eliminate dry scalp and tea tree oil for healing. Yes, vegan, organic, and gluten-free. The products treat the hair follicle instead of the hair strand for last hair growth no matter the hairstyle. “While people are actively seeking natural product alternatives, I also know that most are not willing to sacrifice product performance and if I wanted to create a sustainable line, the products needed to perform as well as their synthetic counterparts,” Twine told The Every Girl. We can’t wait to try this one.
