In-store color match technology for foundation or concealer has been a savior when it comes to choosing the right shade. As a person with an uneven skin tone because of acne scarring and freckles that I sometimes conceal, it can be hard to shade match the foundation that will look flawless on my skin. BareMinerals’ new concept, originally conceived by MatchCo, is an app that brings the process to your home. Honestly, any opportunity that I can find to utilize my phone for something other than Instagram is always exciting.
The app, Made-2-Fit, is super intuitive and easy to follow. If you love the self-checkout aisle of your grocery store, this will put you right in your element. The process is easy to follow: Tap your camera phone a few times against a white piece of paper, then tap it in the same way over four points on your face (left and right forehead, left and right jawline). The bonus: You can look like a mess while doing this without anyone around to judge you.
The new Made-2-Fit Fresh Faced Foundation formula is said to be lightweight and oil-free with hydrating and anti-aging ingredients such as vitamin E and green tea, in addition to plumping element white lily extract. The aim is a foundation that looks like skin, which is why the formula is buildable for a smooth finish. The cost is $49 for a 30 ml bottle, but the app is free.
