K. Michelle is revamping her debut album, Rebellious Soul, by turning it into a musical.
Directed by Idris Elba, the 30-minute special tells the story of a woman scorned by love over and over again. Even though she is on the road to redemption, the hopeless romantic still struggles to end the cycle of bad romance.
The project, which is described as a “hip-hopera,” features nine songs from her album including “Can’t Raise a Man” and “V.S.O.P.”
