Welp, as it turns out, we’re not the only ones underwhelmed by Porsha Williams’ version of “Perfectly Worthless.”
But apparently the song wasn’t hers to sing in the first place.
According to sources who contacted JET, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star may have track-jacked “Perfectly Worthless.”
Songwriter-producer Pierre Medor was shopping the track around and later determined Williams was not the right fit for the song. Then it was sold elsewhere … to Syleena Johnson of R&B Divas, to be exact. The diva’s publicist confirmed the song will appear on Johnson’s forthcoming album and the upcoming season of R&B Divas.
In an email, Johnson said: “”Perfectly Worthless’ is a great song, who wouldn’t want it! I’m glad I had the chance to interpret it.”
Guess we’ll have to wait to hear who sang it better!
