BREAKING NEWS: After closing arguments ended yesterday in the George Zimmerman second-degree murder trial for the 2012 shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the jury of six women began deliberating to decide the shooter’s fate. After more than 16 hours of deliberation over two days, the jury came back with a not guilty decision on all charges and Zimmerman is now a free man.  Trayvon’s parents, Tracy Martin and Sybrina Fulton, were not in the court room when the verdict was delivered.

Ms. Fulton did share her reaction via Twitter, writing: “Lord during my darkest hour I lean on you. You are all that I have. At the end of the day, GOD is still in control. Thank you all for your prayers and support. I will love you forever Trayvon!!! In the name of Jesus!!!”

The entire JET family sends its deepest heartfelt prayers to the Martin/Fulton family. Stay tuned to JETmag.com as more details emerge. Please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section below.
