That’s a first for Kylie!
Kylie has been at the foreground of stealing concepts and product ideas for her makeup and fashion lines as of late, but her sister, Kim Kardashian is now under fire. KKW announced the launch of her new beauty line recently with criticism from fans for trying to bite off her sister’s successful lip kits. Who could blame them? Of all the Kardashian-Jenner sisters they are the two who are easiest to pin against each other considering their uncanny resemblance and similar style. But one thing the sisters never do is form rivalries with each other’s brands– it’s not good for business.
In a recent interview with Women’s Wear Daily, Kardashian set the record straight. Yes, both brands are produced by Seed Beauty (the same parent company for ColourPop), but the markets are completely different. Kylie Cosmetics is focused on bright colors and dominating the lip kit market where the brand is doing well. KKW beauty, on the other hand, will focus its energy on giving you everything to perfect your complexion.
Naturally, the first product from the beauty brand will be a cream contouring kit.“A lot of my stuff is going to be for skin.…[I’m] trying to mirror skin care with makeup,” Kardashian told the publication. “It’s going to be a different vibe; it’s not going to be a full-color cosmetics [range] with shadows and all of that to start. I will probably do some kits here, and there of specific [makeup] looks I’ve done and keep it within the looks.” If KKW Beauty gives us a flawless finish like KKW, then we’re all in. KKW Beauty officially launches Wednesday, June 21, on kkwbeauty.com.
