Jay Z knows what’s provocative and how to get the people going.
If you haven’t noticed the random “4:44” signs everywhere you’ve been living under a rock. But Jay Z finally announced what the elusive triple digits were in regards to — a new album.
There has been talk about a possible album from the music mogul since he signed a 10 year contract with Live Nation and it looks like our assumptions were true. 4:44 will be released at 12:01 a.m. EST on June 30 and will be available exclusively to Sprint customers and TIDAL subscribers, according to TIDAL’s recent press release.
Last Monday came with a short snippet of a new track from Hov entitled “Adnis,” which also doubled as the trailer for the forthcoming film of the same name. Both projects were teased with an extensive billboard campaign, and TIDAL announced the film, starring Mahershala Ali, Lupita Nyong’o, and Danny Glover.
We’re unsure how the album and the film relate but with such big names, I’m sure it’s nothing short of greatness. Stay tuned for more details to come!
