Aretha Franklin, affectionately known as the “Queen of Soul” released the first single from her upcoming musical offering, Aretha Frankiln Sings the Great Diva Classics.
While the album, slated for an October 21st release, is filled with song covers from Gladys Knight’s “Midnight Train to Georgia,” Barbra Streisand’s “People” and plenty more, the first single is the contemporary and monstrous hit, “Rolling in the Deep” by Adele.
Franklin adds her own spin and we had to take it to the people for your thoughts and feedback.
